With these terms and conditions, SPANISH PLANET SCHOOL tries to show transparency in its agreements and procedures for taking Spanish lessons at its school and therefore recommends a complete and thorough reading of the document.
Enrollment
- To formalize enrollment in the courses, the student must fill in an online form providing true and accurate personal information.
Courses
- The courses are contracted directly with Spanish Planet School, which markets the different types of courses it offers and their characteristics through its website.
- Courses are taught from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 19:00. Timetable preferences must be communicated when booking, but availability is not guaranteed.
- The school will determine the level of the student and reserves the right to adapt the student's level if deemed necessary.
- The handbook used in the tailor-made lessons will be at the student's own expense. All other material or materials used in the classes are free of charge for the student and will be provided by the teacher.
- Duration of lessons:
- The private TAILOR-MADE lessons for ADULTS last 60 minutes once per week.
- The private CONVERSATION lessons for ADULTS last 50 minutes once per week.
- The private TAILOR-MADE lessons for CHILDREN last 50 minutes once per week.
Prices
- The prices of the SPANISH PLANET SCHOOL courses are indicated on their website and are subject to variations depending on the market.
- The prices currently shown on their website apply to the current year 2026.
- Under current legislation in the Netherlands, language training is exempt from VAT. Thus, the courses offered by SPANISH PLANET SCHOOL do not carry any additional charge in the prices indicated on their website.
- Course fees for companies will be tailored to align with the project's objectives, the number of participants, the required content, and the application dates.
Payment conditions
- Private tailor-made lessons will be charged at the end of the month.
- Conversation packages and group lessons will be paid for in advance.
- The Intake Session is free.
- We accept the following payment methods:
- By bank transfer to the account, whose owner is SPANISH PLANET SCHOOL.
- Through a bank payment request (betaalverzoek).
- Spanish Planet School will not be responsible for any additional bank charges.
Class cancellation policy
- Cancellation of a class will be possible by sending me an email (victoria@spanishplanetschool.com) or communicating it directly to me at least 24 hours before the start of the lesson. If cancellation occurs with less than 24 hours' notice, the class will be charged as if it had been taught.
- Canceled classes will be held on a different day depending on the availability of the student and the school.
- Classes that have not been previously canceled, or for which the student does not show up, will be considered as given and 100% of their value will be charged.
- Likewise, the class will be considered canceled if the student does not show up 15 minutes after the scheduled time. The class cannot be rescheduled and will be charged in full.
- If you are late for class, the class will end at the scheduled time.
- If you are taking individual classes (not linked to any package), and you wish to end your lessons, you can inform me informally in class but you must also send me an email to avoid confusion with the cancellation date.
- In these cases, 2 weeks' notice is required. If you have indicated that you wish to stop lessons, one more lesson must be taken. In this way, SPANISH PLANET SCHOOL could schedule a new student.
Conversation lessons expiration
- All conversation packages have a six-month expiration from the date of purchase. Once that time has passed, they will not be able to be used, they will expire, and the lessons will not be able to be used.
Holidays and days off
- Planning vacations and days off will be regulated by the Dutch school system, specifically by the Northern Region of the Netherlands. You can find more information about holidays in the Netherlands through this link.
Illness and absence of the teacher
- In the event of the illness of the teacher, the canceled lesson may be rescheduled, according to the availability of both parties.
- If the student prefers, the corresponding class fee may be refunded.
Modification of the terms and conditions of the sale
- SPANISH PLANET SCHOOL reserves the right to modify this document if it considers it appropriate, in response to legal changes, developments, or changes in its website and/or the modification of the services offered therein.
- If any modifications are directly related to the conditions contracted by its students, they will be informed directly and through publication and updating of the same on its website
